Thanks for looking at my original oil painting, Beach Path. It is 12*12 inches and was inspired by the beautiful North Carolina Outer Banks. Smell the salt air and escape the stresses of daily life. An early morning walk to the beach over the dunes as the sun reflects on the water and the sea breeze blows the grasses, that wonderful feeling of release as the waves break in their ceaseless motion. Perfect for the office or home.

This is the original oil painting, created summer of 2023.
All of my paintings are done freehand, meaning no mechanical fakery. I generally shape things out with a charcoal sketch, and then paint the underpainting in umbers and earth tones. I then layer in the colors, using the same techniques building a depth only achievable with oil paints.
